Sullivans Cove TD0985 is a Tasmanian single malt whisky matured in an American oak ex-Bourbon cask and released as an individual single cask bottling. Bottled at 50.2% ABV, it showcases the classic character associated with Sullivans Cove's American Oak releases, with the distillery highlighting rich flavours of vanilla, caramel, stone fruit and powerful oak.

Each American Oak barrel is treated as an individual expression, producing only a limited number of bottles and preserving the unique character of its cask. TD0985 is presented unflocked and unfiltered in its original Sullivans Cove presentation box.

About the Distillery

Founded in 1994, Sullivans Cove is one of the defining names of Tasmanian single malt whisky. The distillery combines pure Tasmanian water with 100% locally grown malted barley, using slow traditional fermentation followed by double distillation. Its distinctive stills, Myrtle, Goldie and Eva, together with rare worm tub condensers, contribute body and character to the spirit.

Sullivans Cove matures its whisky in full-size 200L–300L casks without temperature-controlled maturation, allowing Tasmania's naturally variable climate to influence each barrel individually. Rather than bottling to a fixed schedule, every cask is tasted repeatedly and released only when the distillery considers it to have reached its natural peak. Each single cask bottling carries its own unique cask and bottle number.

This patient approach has earned Sullivans Cove international acclaim, including World's Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014 and World's Best Single Cask Single Malt in 2018, 2019 and 2026.
