This is our 21st vintage of Clayvin Vineyard Pinot and even more than ever it expresses the unique qualities that this hallowed hillside site can offer. Our 2017 effortlessly shows depth and complexity whilst oozing finesse and elegance. A bright, energetic opening defined by ripe red/blue fruit and lifting, fine minerality leads into a seasoning of dried herb and a touch of chacouterie savouriness. The palate reveals its class with good fruit weight, ripe layered tannins and fine acidity. There’s a charm and persistence to this wine with a tight structure that will preserve its qualities for years to come.
