The 2025 Stargazer Palisander Pinot Noir is sourced exclusively from Stargazer's own Palisander Vineyard in the Tea Tree subregion of Tasmania's Coal River Valley. Palisander is central to Samantha Connew's exploration of site and Pinot Noir, with the 2025 vintage marking an exciting new chapter as Stargazer looks increasingly toward individual blocks to express the distinctive soils and character of the vineyard.
Vineyard
Palisander Vineyard is located in Tea Tree in the Coal River Valley. The Pinot Noir comes from two separate parcels planted in 2002 and 2017, growing predominantly on brown dermosol over Jurassic dolerite. Plant material includes G5V12/Wadenswil, Abel, 115, 777 and MV6 clones. The vines are cane pruned and trained to a vertical shoot positioned canopy.
About the 2025 Vintage
From the 2025 vintage, Stargazer intends to explore individual blocks of Palisander Pinot Noir, highlighting the nuances that different vineyard sites can bring to the same grape variety and offering an increasingly detailed expression of the unique soils of the Coal River Valley.
About Stargazer
