About This Wine
This wine is a blend of fruit from the Tamar Valley vineyard and a site in the Coal River Valley, Tasmania.
The Tamar Valley vineyard is ACO certified organic, while the Coal River Valley vineyard is in conversion to certified organic.
The grapes were harvested in mid-March, chilled and gently pressed to tank. The free-run portion was cold-settled and racked, while the pressings were lightly fined and reincorporated prior to fermentation. The juice was inoculated with an aromatic yeast and fermented at cool temperatures until dry. The wines were matured for 5 months on lees before blending and bottling.
Producer Notes
Lime candy, green tea, precise and pulpy. Very primary with notes of green tea, spice and lime candy. Sprightly with a sense of pulp and grip. Initially quite discrete, precise and focused with clinical purity and clenched flavours expanding once the wine has taken a breath. Scented, fine and beautifully fresh.
