Overview
A juicy and beautifully balanced McLaren Vale blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. Grenache forms the heart of the wine with its fruit-forward character, while Shiraz brings richness through the mid-palate and Mataro contributes texture and subtle spice. The result is generous and layered, with plush fruit, fine tannins and excellent depth.
Vineyard
The 2025 blend is made entirely from McLaren Vale fruit. Grenache forms 63% of the blend, complemented by 25% Shiraz from 29-year-old vines and 12% Mataro from 28-year-old vines. The fruit was harvested across 28 February, 12 March and 16 March 2025.
Winemaking
The wine was matured for 10 months in 100% seasoned French oak, building texture and integration while retaining the vibrant fruit and spice of the three varieties.
Producer Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep red with purple hues.
Aroma: Lifted aromas of ripe raspberry and dark plum lead the nose, layered with hints of baking spices and dried herbs.
Palate: Generous red and dark berry fruits fill the palate, with raspberry, blackberry, and dark cherry supported by layers of spice and gentle herbal nuance. A touch of dark cocoa emerges through the mid-palate, adding richness and depth. Medium to full-bodied with a plush, velvety texture, with fine, rounded tannins and lingering spice leading to a long, balanced finish.
