About This Wine
The Chardonnay grapes are grown in a cooler patch of vineyards located about 30 km south of the estate in Margaret River. The vineyard is planted to the Mendoza clone, recognised for producing complex flavour profiles.
Fermentation and ageing occur in French oak Château Ferré barriques, with maturation lasting 15–18 months and multiple rackings. The proportion of new oak varies between 45% and 100% depending on the vintage.
About the Producer
Twinwoods Estate was established in 2005 by winemaker Aldo Bratovic and the Jebsen family. The boutique property is located in the Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River in Western Australia and is regarded as one of the rising stars of the region.
The estate vineyard is located on the south eastern catchment of Wilyabrup Creek in Cowaramup. Twinwoods is a 25-hectare property planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon and managed using principles of minimal chemical inputs and largely dry grown viticulture.
