Overview
A classic dry Alsace Riesling from Gustave Lorentz’s Réserve range, balancing freshness and finesse with a clear, structured palate. Produced from 100% Riesling grown on hillsides around Bergheim, this is an approachable yet distinctly gastronomic expression, with citrus, white-flower and green-fruit character supported by lively acidity.
Vineyard
The fruit comes from various hillsides surrounding the village of Bergheim in Alsace, where the soils are predominantly heavier clay and limestone. Gustave Lorentz’s Réserve range is conceived to express the classic Alsatian grape varieties through a balance of finesse and structure.
Producer Tasting Notes
Gustave Lorentz: “Eye: pale yellow color. Nose: expressive, refined, with citrus and white flower aromas. Mouth: lively attack, refreshing acidity, lime, granny smith apple with a great structure, fruity with a clean and dry finish. A classy dry and gastronomic Riesling from Gustave Lorentz!”
Critic Reviews
88 Points — Wine Enthusiast
“Round and approachable, with softer acidity framing juicy peach and lemon sorbet flavors. The palate is smooth and easygoing, offering immediate pleasure rather than sharp definition. Clean and pleasant, finishing gently with a fresh, lightly citrusy note.”
