The 2024 Forest Hill Block 8 Chardonnay is a remarkable single-vineyard expression from Mount Barker, Western Australia. Planted in 1975, Block 8 is the estate’s oldest dry-grown Chardonnay block, producing fruit of exceptional concentration and purity.

Aromas of white peach, lemon zest, and fresh nectarine are intertwined with flinty minerality, cashew, and a touch of brioche. The palate is vibrant yet refined, showing citrus drive and subtle oak integration, supported by fine acidity and chalky texture. Winemaking

Hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed, the wine was naturally fermented in fine-grain French oak (30% new) and matured for 10 months on lees. Minimal intervention allows the vineyard’s cool-climate terroir to shine through, giving the wine both tension and depth.
