About This Wine
Beaune 1er Cru Grandes Epenottes Blanc 2023 is sourced from a 1.1-hectare parcel on the Pommard border.
Very chalky on the Beaune side, the vineyard is located just 7 metres from Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots.
Set on clay and limestone soils with south-east exposure, the site benefits from very good drainage.
The Beaune is fresh on the nose with citrus notes. A vivid attack with long length and a pleasant minerality.
This wine can be aged for 8 to 12 years.
About the Producer
Pierre-Vincent Girardin is a 13th generation Burgundian winemaker who grew up among the vines in his father’s Domaine.
Starting his own label with the family holdings of Les Folatières in Puligny-Montrachet at the age of 21, he has become a formidable force among young winemakers in Burgundy.
From a 1.1 ha parcel on the Pommard border. Very chalky site on the Beaune side. The Pommard section of the vineyard has more clay.
