Overview

A concentrated Barossa Valley Shiraz from Greenock Creek, presented in the highly desirable 1.5L Magnum format. The 2023 Alices release shows the depth and dark-fruited intensity associated with the estate, combining blackberry and cherry fruit with spice, mocha, dark chocolate and firm, powdery tannins. Its balance of richness, structure and freshness gives it strong potential for further development in bottle.

“The trademark Alices concentration is in full swing with this release. Dark-chocolate-dipped black cherries, blackcurrant and dark cherry compote fruit characters with layers of baking spices, mocha, blueberry pie, gentle cedar tones, chocolate bullets and earth. There's a leading citrus blossom note on the palate, then a sweep of the most pure dark and black fruits, compact, ferrous-edged, powdery tannins and a velvety flow as the wine slowly trails off.”
