About This Wine
Domaine Prieuré Roch farms just over one hectare in Les Suchots Premier Cru, a vineyard leased from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti since 1994.
The vineyard adjoins the Grand Cru vineyard of Romanée-Saint-Vivant.
Les Suchots is described as one of the most seductive and silky wines produced by Domaine Prieuré Roch and comes from vines averaging 35 years of age.
The 2023 vintage was described by Yannick Champ as a warm, generous year producing ripe, balanced wines that are deeply expressive of their terroir and embody both indulgence and elegance.
About the Producer
Domaine Prieuré Roch was established in 1988 by Henri Frédéric Roch, former Co-Director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The domaine follows a philosophy of producing wines that express vineyard and season without conventional interventions.
Vinification is conducted with 100% whole-cluster fermentation. There is no fining or filtering and fermentations are completed with native yeasts.
