“An intense deep purple in the glass, showing ripe black cherry and mulberry fruit, with raspberry jam and vanilla-cream-on-scones. Oak is evident with subtle hints of cedar. The palate is rich and chocolaty with a plush, appealing texture that carries the fruit through to a long and layered finish. Ripe, expressive and generous, this is drinking well now but will repay hiding away for a number of years.”

Shiraz has been Coriole’s principal variety and flagship wine since the first bottling in 1970. Coriole Shiraz is 100% estate grown with an average vine age of 50 years.

The Estate Shiraz demonstrates a balance of fruitfulness and savoury elements derived from these vineyards.

This wine is made in the traditional manner, fermented in open tanks, hand plunged, and matured in French oak hogsheads.

Producer Notes

The Estate Shiraz has impressive fruit intensity, yet is elegant and will reward further cellaring.
