A finely detailed Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most celebrated villages, Domaine Bruno Clair Vosne-Romanée Les Champs Perdrix 2022 comes from an elevated, east/south-east-facing parcel planted in 1948. Its clay-limestone soils over Comblanchien limestone, partial whole-bunch vinification and measured use of new oak shape a wine of red-fruited perfume, spice, complexity and length.
Rated 91–93 points by Jasper Morris of Inside Burgundy, the 2022 combines the refinement of Vosne-Romanée with the domaine’s precise, terroir-focused approach.
Les Champs Perdrix covers 84 ares and 75 centiares and was planted in 1948. Situated at approximately 320 metres altitude, the vineyard has an east to south-east exposure and is rooted in clay-limestone soils over Comblanchien limestone subsoil.
The fruit is hand-harvested. Domaine Bruno Clair follows organic practices across its vineyards, although the vineyards are not third-party certified organic.
The wine was vinified with 20–30% whole bunches and underwent 10–15 days of maceration in wooden vats. Maturation lasted 18–20 months in oak barrels, with approximately 30% new oak.

Domaine Bruno Clair was established in 1979 and today holds vineyards across both the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Its origins are closely connected to the historic Domaine Clair-Daü, founded in 1919 by Bruno Clair’s grandfather, Bernard Clair.
The domaine expanded through the return of family vineyards during the 1980s, including parcels in renowned villages such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny, followed by further acquisitions in the 1990s. Today its holdings extend to approximately 23 hectares, including prestigious Grand Cru sites such as Bonnes-Mares, Corton-Charlemagne and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze.
