Awarded Top Gold at the 2026 National Wine Show of Australia, 97 points by The Real Review and 96 points by Halliday Wine Companion, the 2017 House of Arras Vintage Rosé is a prestigious traditional-method Tasmanian sparkling wine with seven years of lees maturation.
Made from 73% Pinot Noir and 27% Chardonnay, it combines expressive red-fruit character with finely developed brioche, marzipan and roasted-nut complexity. Its creamy texture, persistent bead and quartz-like acidity create a beautifully poised sparkling rosé with exceptional length and cellaring potential.
Since 1995, House of Arras and pioneering Chief Winemaker Ed Carr have helped redefine the standard of Australian sparkling wine. The wines are made from premium cool-climate Tasmanian fruit using traditional-method winemaking and extended maturation on lees.
This meticulous approach has established House of Arras as one of Australia’s most prestigious sparkling-wine producers, renowned for precision, purity, creamy effervescence and graceful development.
A subtle rose-gold hue with an ultra-fine and persistent bead.
Fresh raspberry, strawberry and maraschino cherry are joined by rosewater, freshly toasted brioche, marzipan and a delicate saline note.
Concentrated yet supple, with vibrant red fruits complemented by Turkish delight, roasted almond, hazelnut and pistachio. Seven years in tirage have created a luxurious creamy complexity, balanced by persistent quartz-like acidity and an exceptionally fine-boned structure.
The finish is dry, energetic and remarkably long, with delicately judged phenolics contributing structure, drive and impressive ageing potential.
Fruit was sourced from premium cool-climate vineyards across Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, Derwent Valley, East Coast, Tamar Valley and Pipers River.
Crafted from 73% Pinot Noir and 27% Chardonnay using the traditional method. The wine underwent seven years of maturation on lees, developing its fine mousse, creamy texture and complex notes of brioche, nuts and pastry while retaining vibrant fruit and mineral freshness.
97 Points – Huon Hooke, The Real Review
An outstanding sparkling rosé.
96 Points – Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
Energetic, with a superfine bead and mousse and aromas of red apple, red cherry and redcurrant.
International Wine Challenge 2026: Restrained red berries lead to a lively mousse with cranberry and apple spritz, finishing fresh and clean.
International Wine Challenge 2025: Pale and beautifully evolved, with a warm, peachy bouquet, crunchy red-fruit character and lovely structure.
Serve well chilled with smoked salmon, tuna tartare, roast duck, lobster, charcuterie, mushroom dishes, soft cheeses or strawberry-based desserts. Its depth and structure also make it an excellent sparkling wine for a complete meal.
