Tasting Notes

The 2016 Chapter and Verse Select Merlot shows an enticing ruby red hue with a touch of violet at the rim. The nose reveals expressive aromas of red plum, raspberry, and red currant layered with subtle vanilla and mocha notes. On the palate, it is lively and vibrant, with well-structured tannins and a medium-long finish.

About Chapter and Verse

“Chapter and Verse” (诗百篇) derives its name from The Eight Immortals of the Wine Cup, a poem by the Tang dynasty poet Du Fu.
The label features calligraphy by Tang Yin (1470–1524), reflecting the union of poetry and wine — symbols of Chinese artistic and cultural heritage.
Chapter and Verse embodies the meeting of East and West — where poetic spirit meets modern craftsmanship.
