“Medium purple-crimson, with more purple tints than the Shiraz; a richer and deeper bouquet, with notes of plum and a touch of licorice coming into play, presumably courtesy of the malbec; the lowest alcohol perversely provides the greatest depth of flavour, with nuances of leather and wild blackberry, and a pleasingly edgy tactile quality to the palate.”
