1.5L Magnum Bottle.
Overview
Romanée-Conti is the flagship monopole Grand Cru of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and one of Burgundy’s most celebrated wines. Only 4,088 bottles were reportedly produced in 2007, making this an exceptionally rare expression of Pinot Noir, particularly in Magnum format.
Vineyard
Romanée-Conti is a Grand Cru monopole in Vosne-Romanée, owned and farmed exclusively by Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Its extremely limited production, distinctive terroir and exceptional ageing ability have established it as one of the world’s most collectible wines.
Producer Tasting Notes
“Prince's wine, it is velvet, seductive and mystery. It is the most Proustian of great wines: under the secret scent of barely faded rose petals of a 1956 Romanée-Conti.”
Critic Reviews
96 Points - Falstaff Tasted January 2016
“Deep ruby with purple reflections and subtle rim brightening. Still somewhat restrained aromas with savoury hints and fresh, wild red berries. On the palate, sweet cherry, well integrated fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Red berries combine with a saline touch, subtle savoury herbal notes and a mineral finish. Still very youthful and underdeveloped.”
