About This Wine
With an eye on Tumbarumba as a great cool climate chardonnay region, when we got the opportunity to work with a multi-award winning and Halliday 5-Star winery, we jumped.
Tumbarumba's 2025 Chardonnay harvest benefited from a warm, dry growing season tempered by the region's characteristic cool nights, allowing the fruit to build concentration and flavour while retaining its hallmark freshness and natural acidity.
The fruit was whole bunch pressed, refrained from malo-lactic fermentation to retain full natural acidity, and used 15% new oak 100% French for the gentle complexity and refinement.
Producer Notes
Nose: White stone fruit and citrus zest with a subtle nutty lift.
Palate: Light and precise, with subtle oak influence, pure fruit flavour and a refreshing acidity that lifts the palate to a clean, dry close. A modern take on the Chablis style chardonnay.
