2025 Jasper Hill Emily's Paddock Shiraz Cabernet Franc 750ml

Overview

Emily's Paddock is a predominantly Shiraz blend given added dimension by a small but impactful 7% Cabernet Franc component. The two varieties are picked and co-fermented, producing a full-bodied Heathcote red that combines lifted red fruit with herbal complexity, freshness and distinctive tannin structure.

Winemaking

Shiraz and Cabernet Franc are picked together and co-fermented, with Cabernet Franc comprising 7% of the final blend.

Producer Tasting Notes

Jasper Hill: “Picked and co-fermented, the result offers lifted red fruits with an earthly structure from the soil in which it is grown. Initially the tannins appear green; however, they give lift and freshness to the palate, allowing the herbal notes to shine. It is looking good now, but we are excited to see how it will be drinking in another few years.”
