Overview
Whispering Angel is Château d'Esclans’ internationally renowned Côtes de Provence Rosé. The 2025 vintage combines delicate colour, fresh red fruit and floral aromatics with a ripe, rounded palate and a smooth, concentrated finish.
Vineyard and Harvest
The wine is made from Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle sourced from selected vineyards around the Esclans Valley and neighbouring areas of the Côtes de Provence appellation.
Harvest took place in September. Selected fruit was picked during the cool morning hours and carefully placed into small 10kg crates, while larger parcels were mechanically harvested at night to avoid daytime heat and retain freshness.
Winemaking
The grapes underwent gentle crushing before passing through a heat-exchange system that reduced their temperature from as high as 29°C to approximately 7–8°C. This rapid cooling preserved freshness and aromatic vitality.
Closed-circuit nitrogen pressing limited oxidation and produced several grades of predominantly free-run juice. Fermentation and maturation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, without oak influence.
Producer Tasting Notes
A beautifully pale pink, which is pleasing to the eye and draws one in.
Fresh red berry fruit characteristics with floral notes. Ripe and fleshy feel on the palate.
Great concentration. Smooth and round finish. No astringent aftertaste.
