About This Wine

The 2024 Majella Merlot is dark damson in colour with a bright ruby hue.

A fragrant nose of blackcurrant and cassis leads to a luscious palate filled with rich, ripe dark berry flavours, smooth tannins, and subtle oak integration.

Fermentation was completed in 300-litre French oak barrels, followed by 15 months of maturation in French oak to enhance complexity and structure while preserving varietal character.

The 2024 vintage in Coonawarra experienced a warmer, drier winter with early budburst, followed by cooler and wetter spring conditions that supported healthy canopy growth. Cool nights during ripening preserved acidity and contributed to balanced fruit expression.
