A finely shaped village Pinot Noir from Savigny-lès-Beaune, combining the appellation’s savoury character with fresh red fruit, perfume and a firm but refined structure. Leroux’s 2024 is sourced from three lieux-dits and is made with restrained oak and a small proportion of whole bunches, preserving freshness and transparency.
The fruit comes from three Savigny-lès-Beaune lieux-dits: Les Saucours, Aux Fournaux and Ez Connardises. The sites have sandy-textured soils and are farmed sustainably.
The 2024 was fermented with 10–15% whole bunches using ambient yeasts, followed by a 15-day maceration. The wine was matured for 14 months in barrel, with approximately 10% new oak, and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
90/100 — Tim Atkin MW
Tasted March 2026
88–90/100 — Neal Martin, Vinous
“The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins. Elegant and nicely balanced…”
87–89/100 — Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
Tasted October 2025
“Fresh vigorous purple. The fruit has the more savoury edge of Savigny-lès-Beaune, good grip on the palate… but some finesse. A drier finish.”
Born in Beaune, Benjamin Leroux entered the Lycée Viticole at the age of 14 before completing his national oenology degree and gaining experience in New Zealand, Oregon and Bordeaux. At 24 he became manager of Domaine Comte Armand in Pommard, where over 15 vintages he introduced organic and later biodynamic viticulture.
Leroux established his own project in 2007, working with growers across the Côte d’Or while developing his own vineyard holdings. His approach is deliberately site- and vintage-specific: careful hand sorting, tailored maceration and a range of ageing vessels are used according to each parcel, with the aim of preserving purity, balance and terroir expression.
