An elegant Chardonnay from Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, combining citrus freshness, creamy texture and restrained oak influence. The 2023 vintage reflects Florence Cholet’s precise, understated style, with an emphasis on freshness, texture and balance.
Viticulture
The Cholet family has farmed vineyards in Burgundy for four generations. Under Florence Cholet, the domaine follows sustainable viticultural practices, with pesticides banned from the estate vineyards.
Winemaking
The domaine has returned to wild fermentation and uses light filtration. Oak is handled with restraint, with only a low proportion of new oak and an emphasis on low-char barrels to provide texture without overwhelming the fruit.
Critic Reviews
“Intense, cedary citrus aroma. Lightly herbal. Plenty of creamy texture. Nicely dry finish…” — Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com
