About the Winery
Founded in 2017, Xige Estate is one of the youngest yet most successful wineries in China. The estate is equipped with a first-rate technical team, a state-of-the-art winery, and extensive vineyards across the Eastern Helan Mountains of Ningxia.
Xige Estate farms approximately 2,100 hectares planted entirely to vines, with around twenty grape varieties. About 1,000 hectares consist of 25–26-year-old vines planted in 1997–1998, while a further 1,100 hectares were planted between 2017 and 2022.
The oldest vineyards are primarily planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Gernischt, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Terroir is central to Xige’s philosophy, and the estate promotes the Dove Mountain name as a key wine region within Qingtongxia.
