Grapes from the Leongatha vineyard were de-stemmed, wild-yeast fermented, left on skins for two weeks, and aged in French oak (25% new) for 14 months. The finest barrels were selected for the Estate. The wine opens with striking aromatics, offering a heady blend of florals, forest floor, blood orange, and spiced cherries. On the palate, sweet-savoury flavors from fruit and oak are beautifully integrated with fine tannins, showcasing complexity, detail, and definition.
