Yarra Yering Carrodus Pinot Noir is a small-parcel, cellar-worthy expression from one of the estate’s historic vineyard blocks. Hand-picked fruit, whole-berry fermentation and carefully measured French oak maturation create a precise and complex Yarra Valley Pinot Noir.
Vineyard and Winemaking
The fruit was hand-picked from a block planted in 1969 and fermented as whole berries. The wine was matured for nine months in French oak, including 40% new oak, building complexity while retaining its varietal definition and vineyard character.
Critic Reviews
97 Points - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion Tasted 10 January 2019 Published 19 June 2021 “Hand-picked from a block planted in '69, whole-berry fermented, matured for 9 months in French oak (40% new). A highly floral/spicy bouquet is followed by an intense, complex palate with dark cherry and plum dominant, savoury/spicy notes matching those of the bouquet. The balance and length are perfect.”
