Bindi’s Kaye vineyard, established in 2001, is their highest-elevation site. Only the finest vats make it into the final wine, with production typically ranging from 70 to 150 dozen.
The wine presents a semi-translucent dark red color with a light red rim. The highly aromatic nose showcases violet, ripe red cherries, and strawberries, complemented by subtle hints of anise, forest floor, and lightly spiced fresh herbs. On the palate, it's light and lively, yet intensely concentrated, with flavors of spicy red and dark cherries and ripe strawberries spreading across like a peacock’s tail. Notes of fresh herbs, delicate smoked cedar, forest floor, and a touch of meatiness add complexity.
The mouthfeel is incredibly supple, with silky-smooth tannins, bright, well-balanced acidity, and a long, exquisite aftertaste. Extremely limited availability.
