Good depth of colour, still youthful at six years of age. It offers plenty of ripe aromas— berries, black olives, earthiness, a whiff of regional eucalypt—and is warm and full in the mouth with layered tannins fitting harmoniously. Traditional in style, it's a bit fumey with alcohol, but it's a winner for those who like the warming, old-school, slightly porty type of Oz redDrinking Window 2025–2033 (04 Dec 2024)
90/100 from The Real Review - Ralph Kyte-Powell
With a 50/50 split between cabernet and shiraz from the Glenkara Estate vineyard, this is a bold, old-school drop with the volume dialled up! Its character has been shaped by three years of oak maturation, which has polished the structural frame and introduced pronounced wood overtones of vanilla and cedar that complement the intense blackberry fruit. A spirited edge gives lift to the nose and palate. Ideal for those who revel in power, juiciness and intensity; the more air it has, the better it gets.
