“Medium deep colour. Fully mature earthy, mushroom, paneforte, Tobacco aromas with some remnants of red berry, herb notes. Really complex dark chocolate black truffle flavours and fine chalky, graphite tannins. Muscular firm at the finish but fresh and minerally. Really good. Now – 94 points”

“Medium deep crimson. Intense red cherry/ graphite aromas with some cedar/ camomile notes. Well balanced wine with lovely fruit volume and freshness. Sweet cherry/ plum/ cedar flavours and ripe loose knit/ lacy tannins. Finishes long and sweet but chalky dry. Mild growing vintage. Now-2014. 93 points.”

About This Wine

1985 Jasper Hill Georgia's Paddock Shiraz is a 750ml Shiraz release from Georgia's Paddock.

At time of release, it showed deep red-blue colour, intense at rim, for which this wine is recognised. It had powerful, developed fruity aroma with cinnamon overtones to some, elegant fruit flavour with soft tannins, maybe slightly firmer than the 1984 vintage, high natural acidity, and a long finish.
