At the time, the vineyard covered six hectares and was planted entirely to Shiraz, with vines ranging from 25 to 45 years of age.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eVintage\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e1992 was a cool vintage and yields of premium-quality grapes were significantly reduced by the season’s conditions. Careful grape selection nevertheless allowed Penfolds to produce a wine of notable quality.
