The wines are not so much fruit-driven as perhaps turbo-charged, showing amazing levels of red fruits, a subtle yet important savoury component, and the silky texture Pinot enthusiasts look for. This single-block wine shows how different portions of a single vineyard can still have a unique character, or what the French would call terroir.

Beginning with meticulous site selection and vineyard design started in 1991, Felton Road’s story is one of refusal to compromise. A strict 100% estate policy with fully organic and biodynamic viticulture (Demeter certified) ensures fruit purity, while the estate comes as close to true sustainability as possible. A commitment to hands-off winemaking – gravity flow, wild yeasts, wild malo, and avoidance of fining and filtration – helps preserve the wine’s expression of terroir.
